I think Philip Glass might be the musical equivalent of Marmite: you’re either going to love him or loathe him, and sometimes you’ll do both on the same day, or even in the course of a single piece. This work sounds like utterly typical Glass, with lots of minimalist repetition. It starts off interesting. It rapidly becomes somewhat tedious, I’m afraid. To these ears, at least.
