More diacriticals than you can shake a stick at, I realise. This is the Czech form of his name; for a more-Germanic version, Johann Baptist Georg Neruda is the correct form. Unfortunately, there are an awful lot of Johanns already, which is why, on this occasion, I prefer using the Czech version 🙂
I'll also mention at this point that the artwork for him I'm showing at the left is deeply suspect! My eyes tell me that's a portrait of a cardinal of the Roman Catholic church... and Neruda was definitely not one of those, no matter how you spell his name!
