This is an extract from the complete Mozart catalogue, detailing only those works classed as being for large (or reasonably large!) orchestral forces, but which aren't identified as symphonies. All items on this list are now fully catalogued, with definitive DZ numbers.
It is not always obvious whether a work counts as 'orchestral' versus 'chamber'. In theory, if it's one instrument to a part, it should be a chamber work. A number of the serenades and divertimento could therefore be plausibly classed as chamber works. They are listed here as orchestral works only because they were written for relatively large numbers of players (more than 4!) and sound as if they are performed by quite large forces. It is a rather subjective distinction, I realise!
