Die Neue Bach-Ausgabe = The New Bach Edition
The NBA is the second complete edition of the work of Johann Sebastian Bach, published by Bärenreiter. It includes more up-to-date scholarship than the first, which was published in the nineteenth century by the Bach Gesellschaft ("Bach Society"). The NBA published all Bach's works over a period of some 53 years (1954 to 2007). I am told that the copyright in the NBA scores lapses if they were published in Germany more than 25 years ago and I have accordingly linked to NBA full scores whenever possible. Otherwise, I link to whatever copyright-free or -permissive version of the score I can. I additionally provide page references to the NBA edition of the Cantatas so that I can navigate my way around my own hard copy of the edition.
