I've just released Semplice Version 2.10, a few days earlier than initially planned -but there seemed little point delaying the release!
The Changelog has all the details, as usual. Many of the features of this release are minor bug fixes. There are a couple of enhancements to Semplice's SuperFLAC functionality, especially in (a) checking your per-track FLACs are tagged to this website's axiomatic standards before attempting to create a SuperFLAC from them; and (b) ensuring SuperFLACs preserve any per-track Custom Tags you may have set (they were previously discarded).
Some improvements have also been made to the CD ripping functionality -specifically, the bit where Semplice runs off to check whether your latest rip is accurate when compared to other people's rips, using data stored in the AccurateRip database. That check failed in messy ways when the underlying audiotools library had not been installed appropriately (which Semplice's own installer attempts to do, but sometimes fails to achieve). If a check cannot be made for that reason, no attempt to perform one will now occur.
The update can be acquired in the usual way: use the Miscellaneous menu, Option 3 to pull down the latest software version; exit the program, ignoring any errors that may appear as you do so; and, finally, relaunch the program as usual.
